Triumph Triple. The Triumph Triples are a family of modern DOHC inline three-cylinder motorcycle engines made from 1990 onwards by the Triumph Motorcycle Company at their Hinckley, Leicestershire factory. [1] The inspiration for the later triples was the pushrod Triumph Trident, produced from 1968 to 1974 at the Triumph factory at Meriden Works.

KTM takes a hit at the till, however. While the revised Speed Triple S starts at $13,200 and the R starts at $14,900, it take a little more cheddar to lure the Super Duke off the porch. MSRP on
I just went through this. I bought the R instead of the rs. You can boil the two down to about 6 differences. Rs gets a ohlins rear shock, brembo m50 brakes, tft color screen, a horsepower bump above 8k rpm, a piece of carbon fiber on the exhaust, a belly pan, and a rear seat cowl.
Triumph’s Street Triple RS offers an impressive chassis, electronics and engine package. The most obvious visual differences between the R and the RS are the lack of a belly pan and the digi triumph ,street triple rs, 20-22, street triple s, 20-21, street triple r, 20-22, street triple r low, 20-22 Light screens have been developed to fit naked bikes. Each screen is bike specific and is designed to offer the rider additional protection and more effective aerodynamics.

I rode both before buying my 16 street triple. The power delivery seems way different. Having owned the bike since new, my choice between the two is still the triumph. I have the rx version with the daytona rear end and if you do any 200+ mile days, I would suggest sticking with the r version as the seat is way more comfortable than the rx.

On the circuit, the 2022 Speed Triple 1200 RS’s handling was razor sharp. It had gobs of feel from the front end, a nimble turn-in through its wide bars, and the kind of edge-grip feedback that made me eager to keep riding the bike hard until its DOT Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tires had little rubber left on them.
I had the good fortune to demo both the Speed Triple 1200 RS and the Street Triple (765) RS essentially back to back. For reference, I also demoed the Trident 660 too! Overall, I was really impressed with the Triumph product line. However, thanks to the back-to-back demo, I was struck by the differences between the two triples. The Street Triple Rx combines aggressive style and devilish good looks to create an extreme, eye-catching machine, borrowing inspiration from its supersports sibling, the Daytona 675R. The highest-spec variant of our Street Triple R, its unique visual features include a razor-sharp profile and supersports bodywork, with flyscreen and belly pan

I have not ridden a 1st gen but the 2nd gen Striple's have the taller 1st gear from the Daytona, thus the more grunt on the lower end and the propensity for power wheelies of the 1st gen. Coming from an SV650 even the power produced by the more "neutered" 2nd gen bikes will have more than 25

Hello, I am interested in getting a 2018 street triple. Currently the dealer near me has a 2018 street triple S and a 2019 street triple RS. for the S version I can get it for 9K out the door and they will add a quick shifter. For the RS it will be closer to $14 after tax dealer fee etc. While Street Triple S gets a Showa monoshock with 124mm of travel, the RS gets fully-adjustable Ohlins STX40 monoshock with 131mm of travel. Just like the S, the RS features twin 310mm floating

So much difference, that back on my Triple, I had to re-calibrate my wrist movement to get the same kind of acceleration from the Triple. -Engine note is just loud, no harmony to the sound. -At low residential area speed limits, engine lugs a lot. -Hard, flat seat, almost no cushioning. -Absence of pillion seat.
Based in AUS, so pricing is ~$18.5k and $21k respectively. Triumph historically sucks at retrofitting the electronic accessories they promise (see: terrible Bluetooth module.) If you ever want the bike to have the cruise control or other niceties, just get the '23. Plus, you like the color.
