I'm trying to repair a LG CRT TV witch turns off (standby mode) withing few seconds after starting. Wired thing is this happens only if I have inputted video signals trough A/V inputs or if I have plugged in my antenna cable. Menu is visible and working fine without going to standby mode. Default blue screen also working fine.
Gaming. You'll have to rotate the yoke; it's a bit off-kilter. Check the menu pages for a screen tilt option. If it's in there just adjust as needed. You could rotate the yoke. I would try the service manual first if that's an option. Especially with flat screen displays, rotating the yoke can cause geometry issues.
Settings > (various menus) > highlight channel tuning> press 1 five times. Select "more" on bottom right for additional HDMI/Video info. Press green button 8 times. Small popup with basic video info, including VRR. Press mute 3 times quickly. Service menu, notably the LG Logo display option and AV Power sync options.
Thanks for the link, I remember seeing that a long time ago when I needed the service menu code. Unfortunately on this TV I donβt have the VMLV option; but in scrolling through I found VMOF, VMLO, VMHI, which sounds like the options I have on an older model when selecting the VM setting in the menu!
It's getting hardness to find info on Service menu settings for Sony's WEGA CRT Tvs. Much of the the info has disappeared from the Website. For the most part, this thread be relevant for WEGA CRTs produced from round 2000 go 2006 or thus. The Following info comes from
